How Are Inlay-Onlay Fillings Made?
First, the decayed part of the tooth is cleaned and the intact walls of the tooth are made suitable for inlay-onlay filling. Then, impressions are taken from the tooth and mouth using traditional impression methods or computer-aided digital impression methods. Inlay-onlay fillings are made in the laboratory using zirconium porcelain, hybrid porcelain or fiber-reinforced composite materials. In the second session, the filling from the laboratory is bonded to the tooth with special adhesives.
